Audio: Flux Capacitor – Salvaging a Sacred Space for Underground Music

Since 2014, the Flux Capacitor has served Colorado Springs’ underground music community by providing a space for shows, exhibits, and discussions. Concerns over fire safety led to the venue’s closing in December, however, and for the last two months the organizations founders have been seeking a new location for operations. Mads Engel spoke to several members of the community to find out exactly what happened when the Flux Capacitor was shut down, and what the future of DIY music looks like in Colorado Springs.
